It’s too cool to say WordPress for iPhone and iPod touch is available for download now! The developer is so kind to make this software open source. I think it should be the first open source application that available for free download at iTunes! 
WordPress for iPhone Features
The WordPress iPhone 1.0 Features:
- Support for WP.com blogs and self-installed blogs version 2.5.1 and higher
- Embedded Safari for true previews of posts
- Full tag and category support
- Photo support for both camera pictures as well as library photos
- Support for multiple blogs
- Ability to password protect a post, save as a draft, or mark the post for later review
- Auto-recovery. This will recover posts which have been interrupted by phone calls
This mean your iPhone or iPod now become a full featured mobile blogging device. Cool!
Install WordPress for iPhone
I’m so excited when I get to know it’s first released. I’ve upgraded my iTunes to version 7.7 in order to access iTunes Store. Unfortunately, it is ONLY support iPhone and iPod touch firmware 2.0!

iTunes 7.7
iPhone or iPod touch OS Firmware 2.0
WordPress 2.5.1 and above

My two cents
I have dream about this features months ago. I think this is best tool for travelling blogger. It is useful for blogging when we are on vacation too.
WordPress for iPhone app make me rethink whether to upgrade my iPod touch to firmware 2.0? After think twice, I decided to stay as it is. Firmware 2.0 is still new, not compatible with old apps. I worry my whole bunches of apps cannot run in latest firmware.
Since the source code has been released, hope someone compile it to run on older iPhone or iPod touch OS.
