When you read this post, maybe I’ve dead! I guess this should be the first sentence in each will. What will happen to your blog, if you die? I know many people don’t like to talk about their death (because nobody want to die). Anyhow, it is a fact that we don’t know when it comes. So, better be prepare before the Day comes!

I have thought of this issue when my blog started to earn some money. Was thinking to start a Web service to provide the service but have no action. Until I read the WordPress plugin Next of Kin at Adesblog. It is really a good plugin to solve this issue with no cost!

Will of Pro-Blogger

Everybody must write down your will, especially Pro-Blogger that make money online. Leave your “online property” for your love one. At least they could make a living or small fee to support their life after you left (Of course we hope won’t happen on us).

How to Write Will ?

The plugin will monitor your blog post update to check whether you are still alive. If you still do not take any action, the plugin the send out the “Will” letter via email to recipients that you added in. Default interval to send out Will email is 4 weeks. You may configure according your needs. There total of 3 interval to set.

Just 3 steps to complete.

Download the plugin Next of Kin.

Unzip and Upload nextofkin.php into your plugin folder.

Activate it,set your will letter interval and start to write your will.

If you do not update your blog purposely, you can go to setting page and hit reset.

My Will letter sample:

Title: I Miss You from AhTim

Dear,

It is sad to receive this email. When you receive this email, I may involve in serious injured or left you in some where else. I hope this won’t happen to me but I’ve tried my best to keep myself alive.

Hopefully, I can get back to you as soon as possible. I wish within one week. If not, I think something should be already happen to me. Please be prepare to hear sad news. My Will letter will send out next week if I still cannot come back.

I hope every Blogger should aware of this Will plugin. Don’t wait until tomorrow, set it up today! Let your family or next to kin preace of mind when you or me Rest In Peace

Anyway, I still feel not comfortable to put in my bank account, paypal and Adsense information in the plugin. I know you might have go through the “next to kin” plugin coding and sure that it does not has any back door to steel these info. To be safe, I still don’t keep it online.

In my last Will letter, I provide a password and ask my dearest wife to check out the protected file in my home computer.
