We all know Firefox 3.5 is fast web browser. Some user experience slow Firefox 3.5 startup after upgraded. Do you face the same problem?
Let me tell you why mine faster and your firefox 3.5 start slower. It is a bug in new Firefox. It try to gets randomness it needs for security purpose by scanning temporary folder.
Unfortunately, our clever Windows create lots of temporary files and folders by Internet Explorer. Perhaps also happen to those who use IE once in a while. The only workaround is clean Temporary Folders and Internet Temporary Folders.
Clean Temporary Folders
You have to delete all files and folders inside these directories:
C:\Documents and Settings\*user*\Local Settings\History
C:\Documents and Settings\*user*\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files
C:\Documents And Settings\*user*\Local Settings\Temp
C:\Documents And Settings\*user*\Recent
For Internet Temporary folders, can remove using Internet Explorer > Tools > Internet Options

The Firefox 3.5 startup will improvement after housekeeping. Hope a fix to this bug come available in next update 3.5.1.
Update: Firefox 3.5.1Pre is out, but on stable version, yet.

Dude, what has clearing up the IE temporary folders have to do with Firefox at all? Firefox uses a totally different path to store its temporary files, which is C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\randomchars.default.

I found that Firefox 3.5 is slower then 3.0 when you are trying to load many pages at the different tabs at the same time. The loading process stops some times and all other tabs also don’t respond during this time. In Firefox 3.0 you can open many pages at the same time and work with already loaded one while other in process. It is very noticeable at surfing on ebay for example.
