Apple’s Greg Joswiak said that Bluetooth can be “unlock” on iPod Touch 2G during the iPhone OS 3.0 Q&A session. Excited news isn’t it?
Any prove that iPod touch 2G built-in with bluetooth chipset? Am sure you noticed iPod 2G comes with Nike+. The actual chipset is a Broadcom BCM4325 Bluetooth 2.1+EDR chip!
Bluetooth in iPhone OS 3.0 !?
So there is rumors iPhone OS 3.0 main features are A2DP, wireless accessory control and peer-to-peer connection via bluetooth.
Some people complain why need pay to unlock what they have paid for? What to do! Its Apple strategy and we are in the game.
My Two Cents
Nobody know whether it is true. But how good if I can pair my bluetooth ear phone and make phone call via VOIP from Fring!
My question is will you upgrade your iPod 2G to iPhone OS 3.0 with a fee of $10 bucks? Yes, I will.

The Bluetooth seems really good (just tested it), I am concerned about how much power it drains though. Also, any news on VoIP with bluetooth?
