The Most Expensive iPhone App

If you are using iTune Store, have you notice the most expensive iPhone App? Yes, the most expensive image software named “I Am Rich” cost $1000 !
What is inside? Well, it is just a red diamond a-like icon (will post the real pic at bottom).

Why is it so expensive? According to the Application description, the seller claimed:
The red icon on your iPhone or iPod touch always reminds you (and others when you show it to them) that you were able to afford this.
It’s a work of art with no hidden function at all. After pressing the (i) on the main page, a secret mantra will be shown. This may help you to stay rich, healthy and successful.
It’s ridiculous! The image even not a real diamond, its just a computer generated icon with no function at all!
I know this guy has a great idea to earn money from rich man (iPhone and iPod touch owners). But do you think rich man can be easily cheated? Don’t think so.
I don’t know whether the iPhone will get rich after buy the app. But I believe the seller will get rich soon if someone buy from him. 
Another question I’m curious is, why Apple approved “I Am Rich” app? I thought Apple have strict rules to publish in App Store? The app looks like a hoax to me.

This is a good idea. But, the design is too simple. If the design look more luxury, it would be better.

Currently the most expensive app is Ira pro. It is a surveillance camera. It got good reviews though.

I don’t get why it needs to be so EXPENSIVE!! Actually, I really like the graphic, it looks like 3-D a little bit, but it’s not worth the price. And I don’t get a word that idiot (the seller) is saying. Honestly, I don’t think any pictures can make people feel rich, including this one. This is just a pic of a unrealistic diamond, which is totally not remarkable. This app is just a crap!

If they made a free version…you would be stupider for buying the free version than the $999.99 version! Seriosly, free versions off iPhone apps are usually just watered down cheesy versions of the original….that’s why they DONT COST ANYTHING! Really, how can you make a watered down crappy version of this app? It’s already watered down and cheesy and it costs $999.99. a free version would probably just be like a black screen that eventually just crashes the phone :]

I agree stupid app, but seller def not stupid as from what I’m Reading he’s made 8k at least. I think he’s pretty on the ball, who ever brought it though, it’s a diffrent matter they are the stupid ones.

The world is so small. This $1000 application will find it pirated part very soon for sure. As every good thing need to be pirated for free users.

Actually this was not a hoax at all the app was on the store for about 2 weeks until a very select few bought the app then received a refund from apple. The app at that time was removed from the store. I have a copy of the app if anyone is actually interested.

lol i wouldn’t even get this on a jailbroken iphone for free. I feel sorry for the person who bought it accidentally…
