Monday, September 8th, 2008

Why dual boot Vista and XP? I help my sister in-law to order a Dell Inspiron 530 Desktop computer six months ago. She was so excited with the big 20″ inch widescreen. But sad because can’t play much game in Windows Vista Home Basic. Those games can be installed but can’t play. I suspect is compatibility problem.

To resolve the problem, I’ve installed Windows XP into computer as second operating system. The Windows XP has been installed successfully without format the current harddisk. Vista is still remain inside but Windows XP take over as default boot up. So, I have to do some tricks to enable dual boot for Vista and XP (with Vista installed first).
