Serious iPhone Worm Attacks!

Have you change default SSH password of jailbroken iPhone? (read this if you have not do so). Change the default password immediately!

The worm is not friendly this time. It won’t change the wallpaper but steal data and send to remote server. It is serious if got your credit card or bank account confidential information. Worst is it spread via WiFI and 3G connection.

How to know iPhone infected by worm? One symptom is the battery life will be very, very short when the device is connected to WiFi, because the worm is generating so much network activity.

Kill iPhone Worm?

There are NO fix yet. You ONLY have two way to prevent it. Either change default password or restore official iPhone firmware if you want stay away from jailbreak vulnerability.

The First iPhone Worm Discovered

Australian iPhone users reported their iPhone infected by a worm that has changed their wallpaper to an image of 1980s pop star Rick Astley. It seems harmless with just wallpaper change, but could mean more serious attacks in future.
