Gmail add Video and Voice Chat

Gmail added so many features recently. I noticed the Video chat and Voice chat features in Gmail this morning. It make me surprise that the video conference is so high quality.

The video and voice chat integrated into Gmail chat. The interface looks so simple and neat. Just select contact you want to call, then choose video call or voice call. Even if your friend doesn’t have a camera, you still can do 1-way video call to let them see you.

How to start Gmail video chat? Simple. Download the Gmail voice and video chat plug-in, quit all open browser windows, and install the plug-in. No heavy or complicated installation. See, hear and chat right in your Gmail browser. (more…)

Gmail gets emoticons, canned responses

Have you customize your MSN messenger emoticons? Emoticons is not only in MSN, it is now available in Gmail too. Gmail now gets emoticons and auto replies.

I check back Gmail feature improvement from the pass (Gmail weird feature, Free IMAP support) , it has made email more fun and useful over time.

Gmail Emoticons

Free emoticons have been available on Google Chat for quite some time, now its first time in Gmail. You should an emoticons icon in Compose page. Lots of emoticons to choose. Basically 2 types: Square emoticons and Round emoticons. Personally I think round emoticons nicer. About 80 emoticons for each type.

So we have no more text emotion code needed. Email have become so fun like chatting.

Gmail Weird Feature

Are you using Gmail? I’m sure you like Gmail if compare the speed and features. I remember when my first time to use Gmail, it need referer or you can’t register a Gmail account. But now everybody can register. Since then, Gmail has become my default email client.

Gmail is good at antispam, label, fast search, etc. Recently its weird feature make people laugh on it. What is that? The “Mail Goggles” feature.

Set Gmail as Default Email Client in Firefox

I believe most of blogger here own a Gmail account. You might using email client to access Gmail with IMAP. How about if we want to receive and send Gmail in the latest Firefox 3?

Did you experienced computer open up Outlook Express when you click on email address? I’m sure you did. All the above can be resolve by apply few simple steps:

1) Login to Gmail.
2) In Gmail, copy and paste the following javascript codes into your browser’s address bar and hit enter. (more…)
