Play Super Mario Game on iPod

24 July, 2008 (18:11) | iPod | By: AhTim

I wish to buy a Nintendo Wii and play Super Mario game series at home. But it still quite expensive for me. Better keep the money for more valuable gadget.

Instead, I have install Super Mario game on iPod touch. You may install and play on your iPhone too!

How to Install Super Mario Game ?

1. To play Super Mario game on iPod or iPhone, you must first get SNES emulator installed. Of course, hack your iPod touch or iPhone first. Get the SNES emulator from Installer.app under Games Emulator category. Restart your iPod or iPhone.

2. After the installation, means you can run any SNES game in your iPod or iPhone itself. Pretty cool huh? Now, its time to download the Super Mario SNES ROMs (~3MB).

3. After download SNES ROM, transfer the file wirelessly to iPod or iPhone. Put in /var/mobile/Media/SNES/ROMs folder. Create the folder name accordingly (case sensitive) if not exist. That’s all, Done!

Play Super Mario Games

There are many free SNES ROMs can be found on Internet. This Super Mario ROM consist of Super Mario All Stars and Super Mario World, from old age to newer age.

SNES emulator for iPod and iPhone is available for portrait and landscape view. Of course the landscape view is wider and better. The position of the transparent controller is quite annoying some time. Hope this can be improve further on next version. Overall, its a great app in its graphic and performance.

Do you like Super Mario games? Is it your favourite game? Please tell us in comment ;)

@mohanned: search in Google or forums.
@billy: I don’t think SNES support iPod classic. Go get a iPod touch 2nd generation :)

I want to know, there’s a way to get the SNES emulator without hacking it. My friend did that. I just want to know, can you put a link for it? Please try. Thank you.

The classical game of Super Mario…. A die heart fan of this game and I quiet vividly remember the good old years where I and my brother would stay stuck to the television playing Super Mario.. It was the crazed game back in those days and I believe it still is. The best part is the game itself hasn’t altered but playing it on many other devices has made it important to be compatible to those devices. I am glad that you have been able to get it out on iPod touch and iPhone too because now I can go all nuts over it once again while playing it on my iPod touch. Worth the waiting…!!!
