Organise Windows Desktop Shortcuts
Posted in Software | By AhTim @ September 24th, 2009
Desktop is the place where we like to put shortcuts for easy access. The more softwares you installed, the more shortcuts you have on desktop. It is not easy to manage shortcuts in well organise way.
I had experience where my desktop almost covered by shortcut icons. It is really not easy to find the software I want open. So how?
Clean Up Desktop Shortcuts
Here come the software Fences by StarDock. It is a desktop icons management program that let user organise icons into groups by using fences.
Can’t imagine what I mean? Download Fences v0.99 (~14.1mb). Once installed, you are ready to setup fences. No need configuration, just right click and drag your fence size. Then drag your shortcut icons into the group.

In addition, you can double-click on desktop to hide or unhide those icons.
My Two Cents
I have installed and reorganise my shortcut icons. Now my desktop look nice and tidy, free from clutter. It is easier to access the software I want too.
Stardock has many useful desktop management related software. This one is really handy and easy to use.

Am using Dell’s Dock which is also made by Stardock. Keeps most of the icons out and left only afew important ones on the desktop.
