MacBook Air - The World’s Thinnest Labtop
Posted in Apple, Reviews | By AhTim @ January 27th, 2008
Now everybody is talking about Apple’s new product launch - MacBook Air in this blogsphere. As its name, it looks so light like floating in the air! Apple claimed that:
MacBook Air is ultrathin, ultraportable, and ultra unlike anything else. But you don’t lose inches and pounds overnight.
I was so impressed by this MacBook Air in first sight. It is so stylist, compact and yet powerful. Will I buy MacBook Air? Well, I may buy if I have enough extra money. But I rather to get it Free! Do you think is it possible? I have won an iPod Touch last year, hopefully this year could get me one MacBook Air
The Good:
1. Multi touch trackpad. Just like iPod Touch feature.
2. 802.11n Wifi capability, up to 108Mbps
3. Height: 0.16-0.76 inch
Anyhow, after reading some reviews, MacBook Air has some serious weakness that we must know before consider to buy it!
The Weakness:
1. Only 80GB SSD hard drive space! Too small for a pro blogger.
2. Non-replaceable battery. Just like my iPod Touch.
3. No ethernet port. Only got Wifi.
4. No Optical drive. How to burn DVDs?
5. Only 1 USB port. Too less.
Nothing is perfect, so do Apple. But its a new milestones and standard for labtop to has just 0.16″ to 0.76″ (when closed) inch thick in height.
