Kota Bharu Family Trip

Didn’t online for days since last Thursday, where I went? We had family trip to Kota Bharu (Royal city of Kelantan) to attend wedding ceremony of my wife’s cousin.
The AirAsia flight took around 45 minutes to reach Kota Bharu from LCCT. I wanted to detect the speed using my Nokia N82 GPS, but fail to retrieve satellite signal. I tried during my way back but same result too, too bad!
Perhaps my build-in GPS not strong enough. The captain announced the speed at around 800km/h. Fast huh?
Where to Stay?
Kota Bharu is a small city but more flourish compare to Kuala Terengganu. At least there is a 30th floor building which I don’t see in Terengganu.
We stay in Komplek Kota Seri Mutiara, an apartment linked to Renaissance Hotel. I really enjoy the facility such as swimming pool, hot jacuzzi, sauna, steam and the big shower for bathing.
The view from our apartment (20th floor) is nice and has strong wind. Lower floor is Billion super market, you can buy almost anything without transport. We played 3 bowling games at top floor of the super market. Its a recommended apartment to stay if you travel Kota Bharu with friends and family.
What to Eat?
My wife’s aunty brought us to a Siam restaurant named “ChengMai Restaurant” near Wakaf Baru. The foods are delicious if you like Siam food. Tomyam, fish, pork, they cook all you name. We had total of 10 dishes!! Ridiculous full on that dinner.
Siam Seafood Tomyam, spicy and super sour.
Roasted “standing” chicken. Taste weird with wine sauce.

My Two Cents
Family trip is always the memorable trip. Poor thing is we don’t have much time to travel around. Nevermind! Awaiting for another “family trip” this coming August 2009!
