Interview Pro-Blogger: Chris Garrett

I’m sure you glad to get experience from the first interviewee, Chris Garrett. I’ve written a blog review about Chris on last year after I started to blog. Since then I followed his blog till now.
Chris is a professional blogger and Internet marketing consultant since 1994. Very experienced guy huh? Do you know the hot selling blogger book at Amazon “ProBlogger” book, was written by Daren Rowse and Chris Garrett?

I’ve setup 6 questions related to blogger. And I believe these are the commonly ask questions. Many blogger interested to know the answers. Hear what the Pro-Blogger say.
1. How long have you been blogging here?
Chris: Where is here? I blog at lots of places
When I started blogging is a matter of some debate because it depends on your definition. When I began the “blog” word hadn’t been coined.
AhTim: Well, I admit I’m not a good questioner
I know it was “ancient” time for blogging when you have started. At least we know you are in the field for more than 14 years!
2. What is the biggest difference before and after enter to the blogging world?
Chris: I guess I help more people and get some really nice feedback. More people know who I am, I get sent free stuff by companies, if I whine on Twitter enough I get better customer service
AhTim: Oh..I see. So you really enjoy blogging for the sake of help more people, get nice feedback, free stuff and get good service.
3. What method(s) you use to increase Blog’s traffic?
Chris: Flagship Content
AhTim: For those who do not know what is Flagship content, read Diggbait, Linkbait, Flagship Content and Authority by Chris. In my understanding, its an tutorial style article that builds its own momentum and delivers targeted visitors back to you. Am I right, Chris?
4. What topic your reader like the most?
Chris: Depends on the blog. People like most what is most relevant to them.
AhTim: No wonder you have a page for Global Blogging Survey.
5. When and How many hours you use for blogging in a day?
Chris: It varies, but because blogging is not just about the writing it can be from a couple of hours to all day. I cut down weekends to a few hours though because of family.
AhTim: A healthy and balance Blogger. I do enjoy my weekends!
6. Any advice for people who want to be Pro-Blogger?
Chris: Buy a copy of the ProBloggerBook.com
AhTim: I’ll definitely buy one copy soon. Or hope to win a copy in online contest.
My two cents
I believe we really learn a lot from Chris’s experience. Especially on his flagship content concept to increase blog traffic. Also, I can’t wait to get a copy of Pro-Blogger book. Have you read through the book?
