Inkjet Printer or Laser Printer?
Posted in Gadgets, Reviews | By AhTim
My Epson InkJet printer is already beyond repair some time ago. Until now, I have not get a new printer for myself. The reason behind is because I have very bad experience with my inkjet printer last time.
I only print out document maximum once a month, sometime twice a month. The problem is the printer head always stuck and ink cartridge always dry very fast even I use original cartridge. Since Laser printer is getting cheaper nowadays, it comes into my consideration.
Inkjet or Laser Printer?
Before decide which one to choose, I need to analyze the good and bad between these 2 type.
Inkjet Printer: Inkjet printer is cheap at first time. Can print color photo with a basic specs within a hundred bucks. But of course, its slow printing speed and expensive replacement ink make me think twice. Further, as usual the inkjet printer suck up ink rapidly, at the end of the day I might spend several times more than the original printer price!
Laser Printer: Cost per page is cheaper than Inkjet printer. Fast page per minute with high quality print out. Expensive at first time, cost few hundred bucks. Cannot print color photo unless pay few more hundred bucks to buy color laser printer.
After all, I found the main comparison factor behind this good and bad is on its cartridge! Either ink cartridges or toner cartridges. Of course both have its good and bad all depend on your usage.
For me, I will buy an All in One printer when I have budget. Since I have no budget for a new printer, I will pay $0.30 per page to print at cyber cafe. It’s the cheapest cost with no investment! ![]()
