What Keyword to use ?

If you are a serious blogger, I am sure you are very keen to write post that available for people to search in all major search engine such as Google. Now the question comes in, do you know what keyword is people using to search in major search engine ?

If you know the keyword that using by most of the internet surfers in search engine, and you put it in your post, then your post has higher possibilities to be reach by people.

How to choose The Hot Keyword ?

This is a very interesting techniques that use by most professional blogger, but Mr John Chow did mentioned

Too many bloggers get too caught up with stuff like key phrases, keyword density, making sure your content is Google friendly, etc. The only thing I have to say about that is; write for people, not for Google.

So, as my conclusion, we can tackle the hot keyword to increase your blog to higher rank and traffic, but NOT “too caught up” with every word ! Remember, people is your blog’s reader, not Google.

There are a lots of method that you can use to tackle hot keyword. I am going to explain 2 methods that use by most of the pro bloggers.

Method 1

Use window based application named “Good Keywords“ to research hot keywords. I feel most convenient to use Good Keywords because it is completely free! (I like Free things )No registration, no payments, no nag screens! The software only as small as 500Kb download size, it was digitally signed and safe to install. They don’t even ask for your email address. Why don’t download a copy for yourself now ? Download Good Keywords

After download and install Good Keywords, launch the software then you got the screen as on left. Click on Keyword Suggestion , key in your Base Keyword and Go!

The software will search through the Internet for your base keyword, then reveal the hottest keywords that used by internet surfer that related to your base keywords.

The result page will display the ranking + hottest keywords + monthly count.

Now come to important step to choose the right keyword. You need to choose the keyword most related to your “post title” or “blog title” that having at least 1000 count per month.

For example, I am writing this post that related to the base keyword “increase traffic”. So I key in the base keyword and Go! The result shows me that the hottest rank #1 keyword is “increase traffic web”, but after analyze my blog post title, human readability and count per month, I have decided to use the keyword – “Increase Traffic” in my blog post title as well as blog post tag ! That is the reason why you are reaching this blog post and  reading the content here !

The whole process take me only 2 minutes! Pretty fast

Method 2

Same concept in Method 2, but using web based  software without installation named “Overture Keyword Selector Tool“.

Goto Overture Keyword Selector Tool website, key in the base keyword and press enter. You may find out that the results in Overture and Good Keywords is slightly different, this may due to the algorithm or databases query was different!

But as for my case, the keyword “Increase Traffic” having almost the same count per month at 5000+ This means the keyword that I choose is quite hot in most of the search engine !

My two cents

After evaluate the 2 keyword research software above, I find out that research for a hot and suitable keyword is not very hard, as long as you analyze and choose the right way!

Both software having their pros and cons. Good Keywords can search very fast, but Overture might be very slow some time. You can use Overture anywhere without installation but not Good Keyword.

After 70-294 and 70-536, all of those who have done 70-642 as well as 642-642 series are qualified to write either 642-845 or 350-018.
