Hack Feedburner: Show the Hidden Feed Subscribers

hack feed countSome blogger like me want to hide our feed subscribers status. There are several reasons why people hide their feed subscribers status. Maybe they do not want the low subscribers status to affect their subscription rates. They might want to save some space from Webpage by remove out the feed subscribers status. Or they want to experiment something like me. :)

No matter what reason is it, sometime we still curious to know their actual feed subscribers! Don’t you? ;)

Show the Hidden Feed Subscribers

There is a trick, so call hack the Feedburner subscriber status trick. It is so easy to hack. Before we start the hack, must make sure it is a Feedburner’s syndication URL. It mean this trick ONLY work for Feedburner enabled blog. In my opinion, it should work for all since I don’t see anyone not using Feedburner service.

Normally, Feedburner url look like this http://feeds.feedburner.com/ahtim. What you need to do is prefix the feed name with “~fc/” so that the new URL looks like http://feeds.feedburner.com/~fc/ahtim.

Now, you can hack and show all hidden RSS feed counts easily without restriction. Famous blogger like ShoeMoney do not show his feed count, now you know how to get his feed count huh?

    Thanks for sharing. I’ve seen this “hack” from HongKiat’s blog some time ago and tried out before. Well, if the blogger did not enable the feed count feature in FeedBurner, then this will not work any more :)
