One of the important factor that keeps a blog healthy and growing is incoming link. When a blog or website link to your blog, they actually grow your blog in 3 ways:
- Search Engine Ranking – Original incoming links are key factor to decide your ranking in Google search results. The more raw links you get, the higher ranking for the keyword.
- Referral Traffics - Probably increase your traffics when people click the link and visit your blog. Further, new potential readers are on the way!
- Reputation - Build impression and reputation when people refer to you. Especially incoming link from famous blog in that niche. Write unique, quality content to get quality link back.
Now you know how important is incoming link to grow your blog. The question comes. How to get more incoming links?
Get More Incoming Links
Of course you will say good content. We have to admit good content is the base. But other than that? 3 techniques you can’t resist to apply soon.
- Comment – Once you found another blog or site link to you, give them a useful comment in the article. Show your appreciation possible. Share how you improve the original point.
- Email Contact – Drop them an email to be more personal or perhaps relationship. Keep the email simple. You may ask how they found and link to you. Also can suggest them another related post that you’ve written. Tell them what you like about their blog and you’ve subscribe to their blog (if you do). Subscribe Last but not least, Don’t forget to “Thanks” them or show your appreciation.
- Build Relationship – Keep in touch with the blogger. Inform them when you know something useful. Once your relationship has been build up, you might work on something together. Win win situation.
How to Find Incoming Links ?
Some website utilities to look for who is linking to you:
