Google “Help The World” Project

Google is celebrating its 10th anniversary. While looking back 10 years of Google history, it is launching Project 10 to the 100th or so called “Help The World” to change and improve the world!
Project 10100 (”Project 10 to the 100th”) refers to a googol, the number of 1 followed by 100 zeros. The name “Google” originated from the term “Googol”. Google believe there is an answer out there to help the world. And maybe you are the One!
How to Join “Help The World” Project?
It is Free to join. Write down your idea in the form and submit by 20th October 08. For bonus, you may attach proposal with a 30-second video. Google team will choose only 100 ideas out of all and post up for voting on January 27th 09.
What is the prize? This is an important question huh.
Google committing $10 million to implement these projects, and the goal is to help as many people as possible. Wow, $10 million dollars is too attractive huh?
Project Guidelines
Your “Help the World” idea must be in one the categories below: Community, Opportunity, Energy, Environment, Health, Education, Shelter, and Everything Else. Everything else? Yes. Basically, is everything that you can think of.
There are 5 criteria to judge your ideas. Ask these question on your ideas:
- How many people would this idea affect?
- How deeply are people impacted? How urgent is the need?
- Can this idea be implemented within a year or two?
- How simple and cost-effective is your idea?
- How long will the idea’s impact last?
