Free Wireless Internet Access @SG

Congratulations to Singaporeans! Continue to enjoy FREE wireless internet access (Wireless@SG) for next 4 years until 2013.
The free service will get an upgrade speed from 512Kbps to 1Mbps. How generous is SG government to subsidise the residents in technology service.

Further,low income families can receive a subsidy of S$2,500 for computer.
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mean to compare with TM Malaysia. Just hope TM provide the speed that we have PAID. And don’t simply down so frequent!
PS: There will be an upgrading of TM core network at: Friday, 19 June 2009, 11 pm till Saturday, 20 June 2009, 6 am. Hence expected downtime tonight

my only wish is that the government of penang and selangor can offer the same thing without any conflict of interest with the existing broadband player.
for instant, free wifi at guaranteed 128kbps, just for surfing and all torrent websites and ports are blocked to prevent from being abused. and all those porn/hack website too. not to mention youtube too.

That’s a good new. A subsidy can help families have their pc and internet that are commodities today.
