Free Microsoft Office 2007 Converter

Yesterday my brother phone me during supper. He has 2 files in .docx extension (Microsoft Office 2007 Word format) need my help to convert. Because I have Office 2007.
He is using Microsoft Office 2003, so can’t open Office 2007 Open XML file format. He attach the files and send to my mailbox. I open up the attach files, save as Office 2003 compatible format and send back to him.
Well, this is one minute task. But I thinking how about if someone dealing with hundreds of customer or supplier but using Office 2003? Is it a must to upgrade to Office 2007?

The answer is NO after googling. Yes, you don’t need to waste money for upgrade. What you need to do is just download Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack from Microsoft download center.
The converter FileFormatConverters.exe (~27.5MB) is distribute for Free! This converter make your Microsoft Office 2000, Office XP, or Office 2003 able to open, edit, and save files using Office 2007 format.
Hope my brother read this post (or I should call him to read this) and install the converter quickly. Don’t call me to convert for you anymore huh? I’m not your office doc converter.

Ya this is good. At first I was using Office 2007 reader, but read only; until I found this compatibility pack later.
