Experience: Adsense for RSS Feeds
Posted in Adsense, Blog Tips | By AhTim @ October 14th, 2008
Have you migrate and turn on your Adsense for Feeds? I have turn on mine for few weeks. There are some changes after migrate. So far, the bad are more than good. I can understand why Hongkiat decide to remove Adsense for Feeds.
Since it is free, myself feel no harm to give it a try. It will be good if it could earn me a free domain name after a year.
Adsense for Feeds Ad Display
I have setup Adsense ad on each feed. You should see Adsense ad on top of every feed. The problem with this setup is slow ads loading time. Reader might already read few lines then only ad come out. The ad should come out ealier than feed. That’s why the impression and CTR is really low.

Ads Performance
Don’t expect too much from Adsense for Feeds. It not work well for me. The ads performance is really really bad. Impression and CTR are too low to make money. At least, it still have not make a single cent for me.
RSS Feed Count
A bit weird on the feed uri and feed count. Adsense support team claimed they already migrate from Feedburner to my Google account. But there are 2 feed uri in my account. Did I created accidentally or?
I thought it is just transition period problem. But it still the same after 2 weeks. Anyway, I just leave it. As long as my RSS subscribers able to read my article should enough. Anyone know how to merge feed?

On the other hand, I can no more check my feed status on Feedburner website (http://www.feedburner.com). Have to check on Google (http://feedburner.google.com).
Do you need to change anything to subscibe my feed? No need. Just subscribe to (http://AhTim.com/feed/) and it will redirect you to the correct feed uri.
Try it out and let me know how Adsense for Feeds work for your sites. Is it performing well?
