Emotiv Systems has create a device allow gamers to play game by using nothing but their mind (Yes, can save your joystick or remote control). Emotiv EPOC is the mind detection device that establish communication between human and machine easiest ever. This mind control device is different with the one I’ve tried in Petrosains KLCC. That mind game is just a wave detector that check your brain wave activity without information input.

How Emotiv EPOC Works ?

How can it be done? It uses a set of sensors to tune into electric signals naturally produced by the brain to detect player thoughts, feelings and expression and connects wirelessly to most PCs. Sounds complicated huh? A photo more than thousand words.

According to Emotiv, they have grasp the position and wave from brain and translate the thought into electroform. Hence it allow machines to take both conscious and non-conscious inputs directly from your mind. This include human’s expression, intuition, and perception. My two cents

It has been millennium human have dream to control object through the power of thought. This has become nearer with EPOC. Its really a huge leap on computer technology.

In my opinion, it has drawback too. Especially on morality. The gamers no longer control using their hand. They have to think in the way the game play. What will happen if it is war, violence game? Will this technology create more immorality in real life? Please give your opinion.
