Digital Camera Magazine Photo Contest 2008

My interest on DSLR camera has been increased. It is not cheap to get a good DSLR. Now got chance to win a Canon EOS 40D DSLR Camera for Free! So, I must take this opportunity no matter how hard.

This online photo contest is organised by Digital Camera Magazine Malaysia and presented by Canon Marketing (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd. Contest period started from 1 April 2008 and will end at 30 Sep 2008 (still one more month to join).

How to join the contest? Well, all images must comply with at least one theme below:

1. Action

2. Selective Focus

3. Smile

You may submit as many images as you want with 1 image in each post in forum. A total of 5 images will be shortlisted each month as the finalists for the Grand Final for a total of 30 images after the 6-month period. Want a free Canon 40D? Register and submit your image into Velocity forum – “Canon/DCM Online Photo Contest 2008” section. More FAQ and rules here.

The Grand prize is Canon EOS 40D kit (with EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS zoom lens)! You can find the detail specs here. Basically, it has 10.1 Megapixels, ISO 400 to 800, 3.0 ” TFT LCD with Live View, 6.5 fps. More than enough for my needs.

Although it seems not hard, but not easy to win too. Check out the shortlisted photo for the month of April to July. They might help to give your some rough idea on what to snap :)

    Hi. I wonder if anyone knows what’s the best laptop or notebook for digital photography. Im about to buy one but dont have a clue what to buy. Which processor or brand to choose. How much RAM do I need and so on.?
