Dangerous Loopholes in Firefox and IE !

What Dangerous ?
Firefox is highly recommended by most of the experts as safest and best browser ever compared to Internet Explorer. However, it now turns out that if you install both browsers on your computer, you computer is opening a huge loophole !

What is the Loophole ?
When a link begins with "firefox://" instead of http:// called from Internet Explorer, Firefox opens any address desired without security protection. The attacker or hacker can force any desired system command to the victim who may click on the link.

Whose wrong ? Mozilla or Microsoft ?
Actually no one feel responsible for the loophole and even experts do not know who to point the finger at.Firefox created the registry entry that allow to run the URL. On the other hand, Internet Explorer calls up the URL without verifying the special characters beforehand.

How to cure?
No matter whose fault it is, most important thing is how to protect your computer from this huge loophole?
Two simple command lines are sufficient:

reg.delete.KYCR\FirefoxHTML./f
reg.delete.KYCR\FirefoxURL./f

or even simplest single step by Update your Mozilla Firefox to latest version 2.0.0.7
