Convert text to MP3 with vozMe

13 February, 2008 (11:38) | Reviews, Software | By: AhTim

vozMe is a free webbase application that convert text or sentenses into MP3 audio file. With vozMe, you can generate your standard audio reading file.

If you are wordpress user, you might want to embeded vozMe plugin into your blog. This allow your readers “hear” to your post rather than read through your article. This is useful if your readers busying doing something but want to follow your post.

How to use vozMe?

It is too easy to generate audio files using vozMe. Goto vozMe website, paste your text into the text box area. Click on create mp3 button. A new window will pop up, wait for the convertion to finish. After that, you can save your mp3 for your own use.

For wordpress user, you can download vozMe plugin and configure it follow the vozMe instructions. The plugin allow you to embed into your blog and read out loud to readers.

Currently vozMe is available in 3 languanges: English, Español and Italiano. Only man voice is available. It will be better if can select man or lady’s voice.

My two cents

I use vozMe to convert a sentense into MP3. It works well, but I feel he speak too fast. I have put this sentense as pre-appended audio clip into my recorded musics.

Want to hear the computer generated voice? Goto AhTim Unplug Studio and click on any of the music I recorded myself. :)

I just joined the ReadTHeWords.com team and I can say that the quality, options, and ease of use are much better than Voz me. Check out ReadTheWords.com for free and let me know if you agree with me. Maybe you could give us a review.

@Michael: ReadTheWords look impressive but have not tried the reading quality. Do I have to install any plugin?

There is no software to download at all, as long as you can view flash. Currently, we are experiencing some small problems with IE7 and mozilla 2 browsers. The speech may sound high pitch and very fast. If this is the case, you can download your reading and listen to them on your computer. They will sound clear and legible. Please let me know what you think and if you can possibly do a small review in the future, once these bugs are worked out.

Thanks

Michael

@Michael: Of course I will review anything that can benefit my readers. But do you have any promotion for my readers here?
