Google finally made Chrome OS live about a month ago. The operating system offer cloud computing, mainly for netbooks. In simple words, it is an Internet operating system.
The OS based on Chrome web browser. Every application in Chrome is a web application, no desktop application. Means no installation, no setup, use as it is type.
Chrome OS Goes Live
Without further wasting time, I want to show you what is Chrome OS. Since it is demo only, I ran it on VirtualBox.

You won’t believe until feel the great performance yourself. It boot up with just 8 seconds in VirtualBox. Imagine how fast it can run on a real PC?
Login the username and password with your Google account. It should bring you into Chrome browser, with small tool like task manager. Unfortunately, you can’t find any shutdown button yet.
Google said Chrome OS is able to take advantage of graphics processors, multicore architectures and multimedia peripherals on web itself. Since it still on beta, let’s wait and see how it could be happen!
My Two Cents
Did I told you the Google account didn’t work for me? Yes, I can’t login due to network access failed. Found others facing same problem on Internet too.
I tried various settings on Linux/Debian, Ubuntu, Bridge, etc. Yet, still don’t work. At last login with master account: Chronos without password. It then login locally with the page below.

I got feeling it only happen in VirtualBox. Seems like work on VMware but I don’t have one. Can you confirm it works on VMware?
