Buy Nokia N82 Mobile Phone | Celebrate Anniversary

Remember I said want to buy new gadget to celebrate my 1st blogging anniversary? Now the answer revealed! I ordered a Nokia N82 on last Saturday. Then collect it on yesterday night once arrived.

There are 2 types of colors for choose, original Titanium White and latest in Black color. I have choosen the Titanium White. My wife said Black look younger. Anyhow, I prefered Titanium White. Maybe I’m getting old? :)

Nokia N82 Features

I’ve posted Nokia N82 full specification here. No need to list out all specs. Just list out why I choose Nokia N82? Not other brand or model?

  • Accelerometer (Yes, it same with my iPod for wide video view)
  • GPS (Initiate time faster than N95 due to its A-GPS)
  • 5MP Camera (Even higher resolution than my digicam)
  • 2 Surround speaker (Better music listening)
  • Wifi (a bonus, but I prefer suft net on iPod touch)
  • Bluetooth, 3G (support video call where iPhone don’t)
  • TV-Out (Bonus feature that surprise me. Can play real movie to 29-inch TV?)

It is full featured mobile phone in the market. And I consider the price is cheapest for a full featured phone.

Nokia N82 First Impression

During my first time test on Nokia N82, I feel the keypad buttons are too small. I have counted total of 24 button on keypad less than 2-inch square. No special on its design as expected. But lighter than its size. And why no cover on usb port?

The 5 Megapixels camera work perfectly. Frankly, it is better than my digital camera. The dual surround speaker system is cool, can play high quality music. The GPS work well with Nokia Maps without voice (Need purchase from Nokia to unlock voice navigation).

My two cents

I’m really happy to get myself a new mobile phone. Even can’t sleep the day before collection ;)

This is my first self sponsored mobile phone. Don’t believe? My first mobile phone Nokia 3310 and second one Sony Ericson T230 was sponsored by my dad years ago. Haha, so this is my first personal mobile phone in life! Guess how much my 4 years old Sony Ericson T230 worth? Trade in with only RM30. But better than nothing.

How much is this phone? I got it for Free! :) Don’t believe? Haha, no free meal in this world. I paid the bill using money I make online. In stead of free, I should say it is from my hard work over the 1st blogging year. The mobile set total of RM1420 come with a Nokia N82, 2GB MicroSD, USD cable, TV-Out cable, Charger, Casing and Pouch.

Are you using Nokia Nseries mobile phone? Do you face any problem so far? Please share with me. Thanks.

wow, congratulation! Actually I aimed for a Nokia phone too, it’s N85. OLED 2.6″ display, FM transmitter, USB charging while transfering file, dedicated gaming keys, dual sliding, and others popular features like GPS, TV-out, wifi, 3.5mm, Accelerometer, Carl Zeiss optics same as yours N82. But the problem is… my current phone is still young, maybe I’ll buy N85 when my phone “died”. =p

I didn’t use any Nseries phone, but my family member used one: N73. Also Symbian S60 3rd Edition. I think the most serious problem of it is, it restricts user to install 3rd party application. Have to sign application install file with a certificate first, only can install. So if you want to install 3rd party application, you have to made yourself a certificate first, then use it to sign any application you want to install into your phone.

@edwineyong: I dont like sliding type, so those model never come into my list :)
I’ve installed 3rd party apps but no ask for cert sign?

  4. edwineyong Says:

then those 3rd party apps should be symbian signed. But it stand a chance to meet some apps that aren’t symbian signed. so we’ll hav to sign it by ourself.
