Beijing 2008 Olympics Logos

The upcoming Beijing Olympics is approaching. Many people must look forward to the opening ceremony tonight. Before the ceremony start, let’s warm up through the Olympics logos from the first edition in 1896 to 2012!

Although I’m not a fan of Olympics, I did enjoyed the Olympics Logos from the history till today. Don’t you?

What do you get from these 27 logos? I’ve counted all logos and found there are 3 missing in year 1916, 1940 and 1944. What happen to these logos? The Olympic games for these 3 years were canceled due to World War I and World War II. What a sad thing to remind us again. More info at Wikipedia.

For logo design, some logos are very nice, some don’t have the feeling of sports. What do you think? I think the best logo is year 1992 at Barcelona, the worst is year 1960 at Rome. How about you?
