Are you facing difficulty do routine job to translate words, search images and check the word definition? Have you feel tedious to copy and paste 2 times for each word + link? Yes, sometime I feel this is very tedious especially when I need to copy and paste out of the web page while browsing Internet.

Now, you can do all tasks above inside your Firefox. Yes, without go out from the web page you are browsing. How? Just install the Hyperwords plugin.

Hyperwords features

After install and restart firefox within seconds, your firefox are equipped more than an encyclopedia.

There are many features in Hyperwords, but I just want to point out these 3 main features:

1. Translation - The translation work in the original page. Just select the words, select Translate from Hyperwords pop up menu, then choose your translation language. Your original words will be translate into desire language on the spot.

2. Search Images - We can search the people or image directly from the text. You can get image search results from different source, such as Google, Flickr or Facebook, Friendster for people image.

But this is not always the correct one. For example, when I point to my name AhTim, it shows some others photo. It only show the first image from search engine.

3. References - Hover on the reference sources and get related info on the words. The references are from Wikipedia, Google definition, movie database, etc. I have checked my name “Tim” over Wikipedia, it shows the original name Timothy was the first century Christian bishop that associate with two books of the New Testament in Bible. ;)

My two cents

I really like the features in Hyperwords. It is more than an encyclopedia on your handy mouse pointer. This plugin is very efficient helping us to do research as well as data collection.
