Boring with Windows?
Are you boring with your Ms Windows operating system and want to try out something different? I noticed that most of the probloggers are using Apple iBook or MACbook Pro as their working machine. This make me queries about is this a “mark” for a successful blogger? Or Apple platform is performing really well that make people can’t resist to buy it?
Before buy a new thing, I like to do survey and information collection for better understanding. I hope I can buy a labtop for myself one day, MACBook Pro is probably the most perfect one. But have you experience Apple OS before? If you are normal Windows user, I am sure you will never know the feeling of using MAC platform.

Before buy your new ibook or MACBook, I suggest you to try out the Apple “web OS” with your internet browser with single click! This is a personal homepage project that utilizing modern technologies, such as Ajax, DHTML and Web 2.0 components.
How to access OS X Mercury Online?
It is very simple. Make sure your computer meet the system requirements below and click on “Start It Up” button in their OS X Mercury mainpage.
- Firefox 2.0 or higher - Other browsers are not supported!
- Broadband connection of 2Mb or higher is highly recommended
- Streaming in iTunes requires the QuickTime plug-in
- Processor clocked 2 GHz or higher
For first time viewer, it takes some time to load, please be patience 
My two cents
Actually this is not the real “web OS” software because we can’t utilize the software inside to open files from our own computer. This is only a simulation run on Apple machine, but it’s sufficient enough for us (non-OS X user) to feel the OS X Mercury.
To make it more reality, press F11 in your Firefox or Internet Explorer to view as full screen. If you didn’t view in full screen, you might not able to see the cool Apple docking taskbar at the bottom.

That’s pretty cool. I personally use a PC (but with Linux) just because I don’t have enough for a new Mac.
