My BlogRush is DEAD!

Few days back, when I retrieve email, noticed that there is an email from BlogRush. The email said that:

We regret to inform you that your BlogRush Account Is Currently INACTIVE.

It’s a message that stimulate my mind when I read the email. Lots of questions come into my mind. I keep asking myself, why my blogRush account has been inactive? According to the email, the main reason of my account inactive was due to:

The primary reason(s) your blog(s) did not meet our guidelines:
Too Much Promotion And Not Enough Quality Content

Based on the reason above, do you think AhTim.com has too much promotion? For number of quality content post, is it too new for a 6 weeks blog to reach the expected amount? I know it might take longer time for me to build enough quality content, but never thought my BlogRush died so soon! By the way, according to BlogRush, I can resubmit my blog for quality check after 1 month.

When I do a google search for BlogRush inactive, I was shocked that JohnCow also get banned from BlogRush. There are still lots of people out there was banned by BlogRush.

I know most of the blogger face their hard time in their blogger life, I think this is the first hard time for me. But I’ll continue to put effort in writing quality post. One of the successful example is I’ve my first guest post published in Liewcf blog on yesterday, titled “Who are Your Blog’s neighbors?

How about your BlogRush? How you pass the BlogRush quality guidelines?

To tell you the truth I’d have to agree to a point with Blogrush in saying that you have a lot of ads. It seems that you’re just placing them in sheer numbers hoping that one of them will work.

I would get rid of the three things at the top of the page (the microblog, gadgets, and firefox button). Change the size of the Adsense at the beginning of the post….its kind of ridiculous that its pushing your content so far done.

I definitely wouldn’t ban you though since you do have a lot of great content.

Adam, Thanks for your comment. I might figure out to redesign my blog to optimize the ads. I’ve visited your blog, noticed that you have no ads other than kontera, is it performing well?

To a certain extent I think your site has too much ads. I also just started my blog one month back but main purpose is to share what I know.

IMHO, i think we should keep writing for at least 3 months before we plan to put in any ads.

@thoughtworks: Thanks for your suggestion. I am working out an new planning for my ads placement. BTW, your blog is not accessible.

I agree that I wouldn’t remove you either, but they do have a point. You have way too many ads, at first glance I had a hard time trying to find your actual content, there were so many ads to sift through…
